Day 24/365 - Importance of earning

I was googling this "importance of earning", trying to look for a picture that would aptly describe what I am about to say, but what came out was a lot of financial stuff. "Earning a degree so that we can make more money".. topped my search. Sigh.. we have totally missed the point.

Everything is earned. If it was given to us, trust me, we won't appreciate it and worst, we would fail to learn this important lesson.

Of course, we wish it was easier. Of course we hope it would be better. Of course, we hope some angel would descend from heaven and grant us what we desire. But no. It won't happen and it shouldn't happen. Because if she did, it would just prolong the process of earning.

You can say what you want about successful people. Prime Ministers, Presidents, Actors, Writers, Public Influencers.. NuSkin Million Dollar Circle earners. They got where they are because they deserve it. They worked really hard for it. They did things common people won't do. Sure, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Many are keyboard warriors at best. Talking doesn't need much effort or action. Typing, even less, because many hide behind a persona to say things that they wouldn't dare to someone else's face for fear they would get punched or severely hurt in the process. My point is, to get somewhere is hard. To sustain the position is even harder. To do a great job well done, in the eyes of critical public opinion, is tremendously hard. To be the best we must be able to handle the worst. How would you fare?

Personal development is an interesting test. All the values we accumulate, like the ability to smile through tough times, to be positive in spite of negativity, to be courageous to face out internal fears.. all these values, we cannot "see". Hence how would we know for certain if we are moving forward or back? How do we measure it? The ambiguity! But trust that ever single movement forward or onward, is a good step. The answer is, we won't. Until we got a test or a challenge that we need to overcome, and measure how we faired in that particular test, we will never know.

Take action. Make a decision and commit to making what you desire, happen. Earn the right to success. It is important. If we do not earn, we cannot maintain or sustain. It is a saying where if we were to redistribute the wealth among the people equally, within a few years, it will all go back to how it was originally. The winners earned their keep. The losers gambled everything away. Would you want to be a winner or loser ? You choose.
