A musing review of Ravissante

I recently stumbled upon this review of Ravissante on the internet; talking about our Ravissante Radiance Facial using products from Ella Bache's Radiance Range. So I decided to integrate excerpts of her testimonial with an insight to whats goes on when you come to Ravissante for a professional facial.

Written on Sunday, 20 Nov 2011, her blog includes pictures of Ravissante's interior and our display of Ella Bache products. She started her review by saying

"Ravissante gave me a warm cozy feel as I entered it's premises. The area was lighted up in warm hues, not too dark not too bright, just right."

Her treatment is 90 minutes, consisting of a double cleanse, scrub, extraction, massage, double mask, toner and moisturiser. Prior to treatment, we always have a skin consultation for clients to ensure the correct Ella Bache products for their skin. As previously mentioned in my other posts, each skin is different and unique with different needs. Hence the correct diagnosis is required for maximum results.

We began her treatment using our cleansing milk, cleansing foam and scrub. These products offer deep cleansing to detoxify and balance the skin's metabolism, minimize and refine pores, soften and improve skin texture and prevent the formation of wrinkles by impeding the aging process. Our Ravissante cleansing steps offer therapeutic massaging movements to enable more layers of dead skin cells to be removed, exposing a fresh new surface. With this deeper exfoliation, cellular renewal becomes possible by penetrating active, concentrated ingredients into the skin where they are utilized on a deep cellular level that cannot be achieved with home skin care products.

She especially liked our scrub; Ella Bache's Gommage Delicate, a delicate exfoliating gel with rose petals, good for even sensitive skins. This product is also available for home use. (Product No 20007, 50ml, RM132)

"This one I like for the scrub is not harsh at all and best of all it smells rose. Beautiful soft tones of rose. I got to know that this delicate exfoliating gel is actually made up of Rose Cocktail - a hundred rose petals from white and black roses."

Next comes the facial steam and extraction. Extractions are an important part of professional facials. Unlike many other beauty salons, we do not use metal tools for our extractions. All our extractions are done manually by hand.

Extraction comes next and this is not machine extraction but manual. The therapist was detailed and caring as she asks if it's too painful during the extraction. She didnt rush thru the extraction period as well. So you can be rest assured that whatever needs to be extracted out gets extracted out! :D

Next comes the facial masks and massage. We encourage our clients to relax and enjoy these steps with some quite time. Quiet time not only affects the skin in a positive manner, but aids in stilling a busy mind for an over-all healing process. Through soothing massage, stress reduction occurs, relaxing the whole body. This process is therapeutic not only for the skin, but for the mind, body and soul.

"While the mask was on, the therapist started shoulder massage and it felt so good. Kneading away all those tight knots away...which leads to point pressure massage on my face. It eases away all those build up pressure on the face :))"

After thorough cleansing of the mask from her face, we would tone and moisturise, concluding 90 minutes of therapy. At the end of her facial, she said:

"The result? I came out with a soft and glowing complexion feeling totally refresh! :D"
