The Million Dollar Circle is an exclusive club. 1386 members worldwide as of Friday, 15 Dec 2017. I would like to tell you it is as simple as that. "Change your thoughts, change your world". Simple, but definitely not easy.

Ever since I ventured into entrepreneurship, I realized how difficult it is. All the theory taught at university, via podcasts, seminars, experiential day workshops.. all nothing compared to the real thing. Unless you have ventured beyond the curtain, your imagination is nothing like reality. I used the "curtain" anology because it is like watching a 2 hour movie. All the months (sometimes years) of casting, production and post production to churn out a stellar show. All we see as spectators is entertainment. For those who played a part in producing the work, it is blood, sweat and tears.

I am grateful. If I had not have my exposure in IT distribution from reseller to distributor to principle, and ventured into my beauty salon business and held it for 11 years, I honestly would never appreciate Nu Skin business.

The reality is, entrepreneurship is a tough journey. I read many books - self help, personal development, biographies. My conclusion is, a 200 page book can never truly explain a 20 year process. That, too, provided the author really has intentions to educate more than making your money off book sales. Books are opinion pieces - written specifically to sugarcoat the pain and exaggerate the wins. Of course there are some truths in there. Readers must have the thought to filter out what is useful and what is not. Wisdom and experience would come in handy on this one! Especially when in today's world, anyone can churn out information, be it a book or YouTube video. We need to be savvier than ever to determine the validity of these information. Useless, baseless information is NOT good knowledge, especially when our generation has a lazy tendency to just believe whatever is read without much thought it due diligence.

For the past 3 years, I have had the liberty to meet more than 20 Nu Skin Million Dollar Circle members. All different walks of life, different backgrounds, different nationalities, different countries. They all share something in common. The strong desire and determination to succeed, the grit to pull through adversities, discipline to take continuous action, patience to farm, faith in ambiguity and understanding that people are different, so we do our job to enrich and serve at our fullest capacity. In fact, all successful millionaires and billionaires have this in common.

If you newly just ventured into our industry - the direct selling consumer goods one; congratulations. You have just taken your first step to the unknown. It is not a get-rich-quick business. The only way you can get rich is when you put in constant and consistent high effort to be the difference demonstrated, share the benefits of the products and business partnership, recruit, train and maintain excellent client relationships. It is a sales based business. Every business is mainly sales based.

No sales = no profits = no business.

Nu Skin as a public listed company will deliver its part. As an independent distributor, you get to structure and run your part of the business to your skills and strength.

Our pathway in Nu Skin is simple and certain. Maths. The tough part is managing our discipline and devotion. Fall in love with the best we can be, fall in love with serving others, fall in love in raising standards and continuous improvements, and fall in love with all we have to do so that we can achieve a habit of positive purpose... to be a force for good throughout the world by empowering people to improve lives with rewarding business opportunities, innovative Nu Skin products, and cultivate an enriching and uplifting culture for our team of partners and clients.

When you think you can, you can. If you think you can't, you won't. Change your thoughts from negative to positive. Focus on the solutions and possibilities instead of bears on the road (obstacles). And guard your dream against the dream killers out there.
