A Ravissante date with Malaysian badminton legends Wong Choong Hann and Lee Wan Wah

Just last weekend, on 29 and 30 September 2012, Ms Karen Tan, owner and managing director of Timeless Events & Entertainment and Interactive Agenda (IA) invited Ravissante The Beauty Shop to be sponsors for her badminton tournament held at SunSuria Badminton Centre Kota Damansara.

Karen is this amazing lady that organizes month IA Events "out of love for people, love for sports & love for Malaysia". In her own words, "the reason why I organize events like IA's Badminton Tournament 2012, is to create a neutral platform for badminton enthusiast to gather, play & mingle to create new circle of friends. Who know, we may even have future badminton stars in the making. One thing that I believe, when you put your heart sincerely into something nice & pure, something where we dont think of self, but for the well being of others, God will send us people who also has the heart for people & for charity!"

Karen and her IA Team pulled together badminton legends Wong Choong Hann, Lee Wan Wah, Chan Chong Ming and Joanne Quay, together with a group of dancers and badminton tournament participants to create a flash mob in support of Solibad Flash Mob 2012, KL style! Solibad is an organisation that raises awareness of badminton globally and they have done a flash mob last year as well. You can check out all their flashmob videos on YouTube... just search for "solibad".

For those of you who dont know, a flashmob is group of people who will come together suddenly in public to perform a choreographed dance or act. Just as suddenly as they appear, they then disperse. Reason for doing so is probably for entertainment or artistic expression.

Our badminton legends hard at work practicing the choreography with Jeremy, the lead dancer.
Can you recognise who is who? From left, Lee Wan Wah (in the light blue shirt), Jeremy (in green shorts with his back towards us), Chan Chong Ming (in dark blue), Joanne Quay (in red) and Wong Choong Hann (in yellow).

The event was well coordinated and teams of children, youths, men and women participated. The winner of each segment gets to play against ex-national singles player Wong Choong Hann and ex-national doubles player Lee Wan Wah.

Ravissante sponsored free Signature Facials to all winners. When giving out prizes to the kid's teams, Wong Choong Hann winked at me, saying "start them young ( for facials )!" Haha!

We have our Ravissant The Beauty Shop buntings placed at the badminton court!
